Aims and Background: One of the basic necessities that are considered when discussing economic and social development is the issue of transportation. The aim of this study was to investigate the indicators related to transportation in Iranian metropolises and using the evaluation technique based on the distance from the mean solution (EDAS), which is one of the multi-indicator decision making techniques. Methodology: The present research is quantitative and analytical type. The data and information required for the research were obtained through Tehran Statistics in 2020. The scope of research consists of metropolises of Iran in 2020. Analysis of transportation-related indicators in Iranian metropolises has been attempted using the multi-indicator Edas decision-making technique. Findings: The ASI score of Edas technique for transportation-related indicators has been obtained in Tehran metropolis (1,000) and is the highest score among the studied metropolises. The score of this metropolis is far from the final score of the metropolis of Mashhad (0.549). The final score of Isfahan metropolis (0.508) has been obtained, which is close to Mashhad metropolis. The final score of Edas technique for Shiraz metropolis (0.456) has been obtained. The Edas technique shows a weak score for the other metropolises studied. The rapid increase in the population of metropolises and their extensive physical development means that the problems in them are multiplied.
