Abstract   (3847 Views)
Increase in wastage of soil resources in watershed is a persistent challenge that with increase in population and pressure on natural sources and unstable plantation on gradient farms and soils cause production reduces on farms, and also decrease in daily ratio of farms to population can cause more pressure on lands and natural resources.Lavarefin watershed placed in 60 km from Bandarabass in Hormozgan province, and it's surface area is about 91.7334 hectare. Forecasting soil erosion have always been a most common and prevalent method in natural resource management to control soil's efficiency in watershed and estimating the sediment amount and quality of water out of the watershed. RUSLE model is a model of estimating the amount of erosion in surface unit that corresponds to 6 erosion factors including R, K, L, S, C, and P that respectively obtains from precipitation data, map of region soil, digital elevation model and remote sensing.Survey the map of soil erosion danger show that the amount of soil erosion is diverse in 0-7115 ton/hectare range per year. According to this map, high risk region for erosion consist of regions in central part of watershed that the slop is high. The average of yearly sediment in this watershed is estimated about 6.9 ton/hectare.The results of this study show that with compilation of RS, GIS and using RUSLE model in agricultural regions, can estimate the soil erosion and amount of Load sediment, and use these results for erosion management.
