GeoRes is generally committed to Afarand's peer-review policy. All submitted articles are evaluated at the submission to meet the structural and subject principles of GeoRes. The matched articles will go under a double-blinded peer-review process by at least 3 reviewers (experts in the field who are not part of the journal s editorial staff) who are selected by the Editorial Board members according to their field specialties.

بیانیه بهترین گردش کار و جلوگیری از تخلفات نشر این سند ترکیبی از راهبردهای اصلی کمیته اخلاق نشر (COPE) از سال ۱۹۹۹، مجموعه قوانین توسعه یافته در سال ۲۰۰۳ و بهترین دستورالعمل های بهبودیافته در سال ۲۰۰۷ است. این تجدیدنظر پس از رایزنی های گسترده با اعضای COPE صورت گرفت و کمیته اخلاق نشر در هفتم مارچ ۲۰۱۱ آن را به تصویب رساند.

نشر و توزیع مجدد مطالب این نشریه در هر رسانه یا قالبی و بازترکیب و استفاده از محتوای آن به صورت غیرتجاری با ذکر منبع تحت گواهی Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial ۴,۰ International Public License بلامانع است. نویسندگان در هنگام ارسال مقاله حق انتشار (Publishing Right) آن را در صورت پذیرش مقاله در فرآیند داوری همتراز به فصلنامه تحقیقات جغرافیایی واگذار می نمایند؛ این حق فقط در صورت رد علمی مقاله از نشریه سلب می شود و نشریه می تواند مقاله را به هر شکل منتشر کرده و از انتشار آن درآمدزایی کند.
