Ethical guidelines for journal and instances of malpractice in publication
Ethical policies of this journal are based on the principles of the international committee of publication ethics and international ethic charter of the ministry of science, research, and technology. Authors, reviewers, scientific secretaries, and chief editor should follow these principles of ethics.
Duties and responsibilities of the publisher, chief editor, scientific secretaries, reviewers, and authors
Duties and responsibilities of the publisher
  1. This journal is committed that decisions taken in posted articles are based on professional conclusions, and they are far from personal interests.
  2. This journal is committed to confidentiality protection of academic and research records.
  3. This journal controls the observance of ethics by the chief editor, scientific secretaries, editorial board, and reviewers.
  4. This journal will undertake modifications, explanations, and withdrawals under necessary conditions.
  5. This journal will confront any verified malpractice.
Duties and responsibilities of the chief editor, and scientific secretaries
  1. Scientific secretaries of this journal must protect the confidentiality of the sent article until they are published.
  2. The chief editor, scientific secretaries, and reviewers will make decisions about publishing or rejecting an article.
  3. Scientific secretaries of this journal must protect the anonymity of reviewers.
  4. Scientific secretaries of this journal must avoid conflict of interests.
  5. Scientific secretaries of this journal are required to observe scientific safeguard and try to fulfill scientific needs of readers.
  6. Scientific secretaries of this journal are required to focus their minds on logical content.
  7. Scientific secretaries of this journal shouldn’t disclose articles’ information for anyone rather than authors, first author, and reviewers.
  8. Unpublished articles won’t be used by scientific secretaries or other members for personal interests.
Duties and responsibilities of reviewers
  1. Reviewers of this journal are required to cooperate on the publishing of sent articles.
  2. Invited reviewers should protect the confidentiality of sent articles.  
  3. Reviewers are required to inform scientific secretaries of their decisions about publishing or rejecting an article in needed time.
  4. Peer reviewers are required to protect the confidentiality of sent articles and not using them for personal interests.
  5. Reviewers’ comments about sent articles should be technical and professional.
  6. Reviewers shouldn’t review the articles which have a conflict of interest with one of the authors, companies or institutions.
Duties and responsibilities of authors
  1. Articles should not be published or be reviewed by any other journals (except for abstracts or parts of a lecture, article review or thesis)
  2. First author should be sure of other writers’ approval.
  3. Another responsibility of the authors is to get permission from the institution which article is related to it.
  4. One of the requirements for sending articles is that authors give permission for editing their article to be more legible.
  5. Authors are required to briefly explain their sponsor for conducting the preparing the process of research.
  6. Authors should sign the ethical commitment form.
  7. In free access journals, authors have the copyright for their article but besides, they let the public to download, print and distribute their articles.
  8. All of the authors should agree on the responsibility of the first author to next review procedures after sending a transcript.
  9. When author or authors detected a major malpractice in their works, they should immediately inform the scientific secretary of the journal to modify it.
  10. Since plagiarism is one of the major and unethical malpractices, all authors should be aware that sent articles may be analyzed by plagiarism checker software.
Examples of violation of ethics by authors
  1. Plagiarism: plagiarism means intentional or unintentional using other people’s articles or ideas and pretending they are your own. Even using a statement from other person or your previous statements without mentioning the source counts plagiarism. All sent articles to this journal will be reviewed by plagiarism checker software.
  2. Data fabrication and distortion: data fabrication is when researcher practically has done no research but presents data and conclusion. Distortion also happens when researcher did the research but changes data and results.
  3. Concurrent submitting: when an article is sent to two journals.
  4. Double submitting (replica): happens when two or more articles have the same data, theories and results.
  5. Redundant submitting: means dividing an article into several articles and submitting them.
  6. Improper involvement of another author: all authors listed in the article should collaborate in writing it.
  7. Manipulating sources: when in the last part of the article several sources are mentioned, while they are not used in the text.
