An Analysis of Urban Public Realm and their Impact on Deteriorated Fabrics (Case Study: Tabriz 8 Metropolitan Area)

Aims & Backgrounds: Most of the cities in Iran are deteriorated and inefficient. Deterioration penetrates both urban and suburban areas. In the public realms, human, financial, economic, social and cultural are at risk due to unexpected events. Based on this, the goal of the research is to evaluate the public realms in the deteriorated fabrics of Tabriz Region 8.
Methodology: The descriptive-analytical study was carried out on experts and elite of Tabriz municipality region 8 in the summer 2019. The subjects (N=50) completed the questionnaire. Components have been evaluated in 4 functional, functional, physical and social sections in the form of 18 variables. Data analysis were conducted Pearson, T and regression tests.
Findings: Findings show that a change in the standard deviation of the variable adaptation of activities, causes the standard deviation of the dependent variable (the general area of deteriorated fabrics) to change the size of 83 and 77%. While a change in the variable standard deviation, it can change the standard deviation dependent on the size of 24%. In addition, there is the most relationship between functional, social and physical components of the public realm of deteriorated fabrics, which is about 80%.
Conclusion: The results show that the social component has the most influence on region 8 of Tabriz and the functional and perceptual components of the second and third ranks were assigned to themselves. In other words, performance variables, activity and adaptation of activities are far more relevant compared to other variables in the variable forecasting, and the deterioration of region 8 of Tabriz is more influential than the component of public social realm.
